Overvaluation
This article is in spanish, but it basically says that a congresswoman in Guatemala filed a complaint that the government during a Calamity State bought overvalued building materials.
In a calamity state in Guatemala, the government bought many construction materials that were overpriced. For example the cubic meter of river sand, was bought by the Fodes (Social Development Fund) for Q120 when in a store it can be bought for Q68.20.
In my opinion many government entities look for many ways to take money for themselves. They don't think about the people they "represent" and that's how corruption is affecting our country, even when natural catastrophes hit us, our corrupt government still don't care about the people, just their greedy interests.
